This is the online home of offline editor Vid Price. Vid has recently joined London's new boutique edit house Family in Old Compton Street in the heart of Soho. Vid was previously based at NWH Editing between 2002 and 2008.

Fully versed in both Avid and Final Cut Pro, Vid is signed for feature film, television and commercial representation by agent Andrew Naylor at United Agents. Check out Vid's CV here.

 

Recently completed and up on the site for you to view is the video for Coldplay's 'Lost' with Mat Whitecross at Between The Eyes, commisioned  by Kirsten Cruickshank for Parlophone. The video was shot live at their recent concert in Chicago on 5 different formats making for an energetic and intimate performance.

The year started with a unique on-air sponsorship campaign for the FIAT 500 that aired on Five in January. A first of its kind, the deal saw FIAT sponsor the channel for a whole evening to coincide with launch of its new car. The overall creative concept behind the ident was that the Fiat 500 and Five ‘brighten up your life’. The piece opens on a lifeless empty car park, when the Fiat 500 drives into the scene and halogen lights spontaneously burst into broad strokes of colour. The car multiplies as it playfully zips around the car park. This complex edit was achieved with just one car.

Leading documentary production company Walker George Films chose Vid to edit four music videos as part of their multi award winning documentary for Channel 4, 'Young@Heart'. Originally broadcast on Channel 4 it won the Audience Award at the LA Film Festival as well as Best Art Documentary and Best Film in any category at the Rose d'Or awards in 2007. It has since been acquired by Fox Searchlight for feature release in the US and was met with acclaim at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. This moving piece about an American chorus made up of 73 to 92 year olds is an intimate, moving and often hilarious portrait of an extraordinary group of people who may be old in body but refuse to grow old in spirit.
